About the Course

RGSoIPL, IIT Kharagpur (with the Centre of Excellence in Public Policy, Law & Governance) offered an Online Short-Term Certificate Course on India's New Labour Codes - a cross-disciplinary, cohort-based learning experience designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of India's reformed labour legislation.

India has undergone a significant overhaul of its labour laws, consolidating 29 central labour laws into 4 comprehensive Labour Codes: the Code on Wages (2019), the Industrial Relations Code (2020), the Social Security Code (2020), and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code (2020). This course provided an in-depth analysis of these transformative changes.

The course ran from January 1 to January 26, 2026 and was designed for legal professionals, HR practitioners, policy researchers, and students interested in understanding the new legal framework governing India's workforce.
